Czech Republic and Ukraine to sign security agreement on 18 July

The Czech Republic will sign a security agreement with Ukraine on 18 July.

Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said this on social networks, Report reports.

According to Fiala, the document will be signed at the European Political Community summit in London.

Meanwhile, the CTK news agency, citing its sources, reported that the Czech Republic plans to sign a security agreement with Ukraine before the NATO summit in Washington on 9-11 July, and Czech representatives want to officially announce it in the US capital.

The text of the agreement is reportedly being finalised and negotiations with the Ukrainian side are ongoing.

Kiev has so far signed 19 such bilateral agreements and plans to sign several more in the coming months.
