Bulgarian Minister of Economy and Industry Petar Dilov and Mongolian Ambassador to Bulgaria Sayanaa Lkhagvasuren met to discuss opportunities for expanding bilateral economic cooperation. According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, the meeting focused on mining, food industry, trade, transportation, agriculture and cooperation between SMEs.
“We believe that our level of economic cooperation is not in line with our strong political relations and bilateral potential,” Minister Dilov said, stressing that Bulgaria will continue to support the deepening of EU-Mongolia relations. Ambassador Lkhagvasuren emphasized Bulgaria’s strategic role in Mongolia-Europe trade. They also discussed the role of the Mongolia-Bulgaria Intergovernmental Joint Economic Commission, which is a critical mechanism for developing bilateral relations and identifying concrete cooperation steps.
