BRICS foreign ministers will discuss global governance, conflict resolution and cooperation on multilateral platforms in Nizhny Novgorod on 10-11 June.
This statement was made by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova at a briefing on the margins of SPIEF, the Report reported, citing TASS.
‘The upcoming meetings are expected to discuss topical issues of international relations, the international agenda, improving the global governance system with a focus on increasing the role of developing countries, conflict resolution, interaction in leading multilateral platforms,’ Zakharova said.
The diplomat noted that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will organise a ‘marathon of bilateral meetings’ on the margins of the BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting.
Zakharova also pointed out that the foreign ministers will outline further steps to develop the strategic partnership. Special attention will be paid to preparations for the 16th BRICS summit in Kazan.
