The United Nations (UN) has expressed regret over the recent landmine incidents in Azerbaijan in which four people, including young children, were seriously injured.
“We are saddened by the recent news of landmine incidents in Azerbaijan in which four people, including young children, were seriously injured. The UN in Azerbaijan recognizes the urgency of humanitarian mine action as a prerequisite for sustainable development and we stand ready to continue supporting Azerbaijan,” the UN said.
