A group of 17 NATO member states have pledged $1 billion for the Alliance’s Persistent Surveillance from Space (APSS) programme.
This was announced on the North Atlantic Alliance’s website, the Report reported.
According to the information, the relevant document was signed at the NATO summit in Washington, after which the programme entered the implementation phase, during which 17 NATO countries will allocate “more than $ 1 billion for the expansion of advanced capabilities of the use and operations of commercial and national space assets” over the next 5 years.
