Norwegian Foreign Ministry urged to ensure Ukraine’s victory after Lavrov’s OSCE speech
Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide has reacted to Sergey Lavrov’s speech at the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE Ministerial Council) with a call to help Kiev win the conflict with Russia. His words were published in a statement on the official website of the Norwegian government.
“Ukraine must win and will win this war. We – many countries that support Ukraine in its heroic struggle not only for its own independence, but also for the principles we all share,” the diplomat said.
Eide also accused Moscow of disrespecting the territorial integrity of other countries and added that “no one is fooling anyone.”
Earlier, Lavrov told in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson that Europeans run away from him at summits. According to the Russian diplomat, they behave “like children” while being adults. In the same interview, the Russian Foreign Minister said that Moscow was ready to send “additional messages” to the West about the danger of nuclear war if the necessary conclusions were not drawn after the launch of the “Oreshnik”.
