President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation and discussed current developments in the South Caucasus and the Middle East.
During the conversation, steps to further strengthen the strategic cooperation between the two countries and to ensure regional stability were discussed. In particular, the two leaders agreed on the establishment of lasting peace in the South Caucasus and support for the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process. The latest situation in the Middle East, the Palestinian issue and coordination in international platforms were also among the other important topics discussed. Presidents Aliyev and Erdoğan reiterated their determination to deepen bilateral relations in all fields and to realize joint projects.
