On March 20, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation. During the conversation, strategic alliance relations and joint projects between the two countries were discussed.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated President Ilham Aliyev and the brotherly Azerbaijani people on the occasion of Nowruz and wished them prosperity and happiness. In turn, President Aliyev thanked for the congratulations and conveyed his best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan and the brotherly Uzbek people on the occasion of Nowruz. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the strategic alliance relations between the two countries are successfully developing in all areas. They expressed satisfaction with the increase in trade volume and the implementation of joint projects in areas such as machinery manufacturing, textile industry, electrical engineering, energy, agriculture and tourism. The Presidents emphasized the need to further strengthen cooperation in line with the will of the two brotherly peoples and the goals set by the heads of state. They also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and future contacts.
