The parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit on 4 April, Report informs, citing the Milli Majlis.
Gafarova was welcomed at the Islam Karimov International Airport of Toshkent by First Deputy Speaker of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Sadig Safayev, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev and other officials.
Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Chairwoman of the Non-Aligned Movement’s Parliamentary Network, Sahiba Gafarova, will take part in the 150th IPU Assembly, the 4th Conference of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement and an APA Coordination Meeting.
Gafarova is to deliver a speech at the 150th IPU Assembly and have meetings with the Member-States’ Presidents of Parliament, the Heads of the attending delegations and of international organizations, as well as with state officials of Uzbekistan.
