President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani. During the meeting, the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan and further strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries were discussed.President Aliyev emphasized the historical ties and strong cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, noting that the two countries closely cooperate in many areas. He also thanked Pakistan for its support to Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. For his part, Senate President Sanjrani expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s role in regional peace and development and called for enhancing economic, trade and cultural cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, issues such as the development of inter-parliamentary relations, opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy, defense and investment were also discussed. The sides emphasized that the brotherly ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan will continue to grow stronger.
