Minister of Energy Perviz Shahbazov held talks with Hugo Guevara, Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan on the development of energy cooperation. Further expansion of energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States is on the agenda. The two countries are working to strengthen their existing partnerships in the energy sector and seize opportunities for cooperation in new areas.
Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry emphasized that energy cooperation between the two countries contributes to both regional and global energy security. In addition to cooperation, especially in the oil and natural gas sectors, it is aimed to develop joint projects in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency. The United States is seen as an important partner in the process of diversifying Azerbaijan’s energy resources and modernizing its energy infrastructure. The energy dialogue between the two countries is of great economic and strategic importance. Azerbaijan attaches great importance to international cooperation in the process of diversifying its energy resources and transition to renewable energy. In this context, new agreements and projects with the United States will further strengthen relations between the two countries.
