The Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev and the Saudi delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed al-Khereiji have discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties.
On December 9, the third round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia was held in Riyadh.
The sides noted that the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), held in Baku in November this year, has opened new opportunities for the development of bilateral relations.
During the political consultations, regional and international issues, as well as other topics of mutual interest, were discussed. As part of his visit, Rafiyev also met with Saudi Arabian Deputy Minister of Sustainability and Climate Change Khalid Almehaid.
