In January-September 2024, foreign direct investment (FDI) from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan totalled $8.275 million, Trend reports.
According to calculations based on the data of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, this figure increased by 48.44 per cent or $2.7 million compared to the figure of the same period in 2023.
The share of FDI from the country in total FDI in Kazakhstan is 0.6 per cent.
In turn, FDI from Kazakhstan to the economy of Azerbaijan was $9.259 million (a decline of 6.85 per cent and a share of 0.2 per cent). In the same period of 2023, FDI from Kazakhstan to the country amounted to $9.94 million.
It should be reminded that by the end of 2023, FDI in the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to 6.658 billion dollars (growth by 6.1 per cent).
