Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov held a meeting with Director of the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Liliana de Sa Kirchknopf, Trend reports.
According to the information, during the meeting, the director of the EBRD Board of Directors highly appreciated the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and reaffirmed the bank’s full support.
It is also reported that the parties discussed prospects for deepening financial and investment cooperation and agreed to continue joint work on projects in the spheres of ‘green’ economy, energy, transport, as well as in support of women and youth entrepreneurship.
The EBRD has implemented 164 projects in Uzbekistan, of which 52 per cent are aimed at supporting the private sector.
