Alp Aslan was born in Malatya in 1972. He completed his primary and secondary education in various provinces of Turkey. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1996 and was appointed as a law registered in Ankara Bar Association in 1998. Following his military service in the Air Brigade, he began to serve as; Patent and Trademark Attorney for many Organized Industrial Zones, Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Technology Development Zones and Technology Firms, as well as founded and managed various Technology Development Zones, R & D Centres and Technology Investment Companies. He is continuing his thesis on Doctorate Studies in the field of Forensic Sciences following his studies in Business Administration (MBA) and Public Law Master (LLM). Currently he chairs the Operations Research Commission of the Association of Forensic Scientists and is a visiting researcher at Middle East Technical University (METU/ODTÜ) and a part time instructor at University of Turkish Aeronautical Association (UTAA/THKÜ). Mr Aslan has numerous publications in the fields of Technology Law and Forensic Science, and has received awards from various public institutions and non-governmental organizations. He also has been to Japan under the Japanese Government's Young Turkish Leaders Program. He is fluent in English and has basic grasp in Japanese, Russian and German. He is married and has two children.
