Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu paid an official visit to the Republic of Croatia.
The visit of the Kazakh Foreign Minister to Zagreb, made at the invitation of the Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić-Radman, is the first in the history of bilateral relations and will give a new qualitative impetus to the development of Kazakh-Croatian co-operation.
During the talks, Murat Nurtleu and Gordan Grlić-Radman discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, noting that Kazakhstan and Croatia have significant potential for its growth and deepening, including in such areas as energy, transport (including civil aviation), agriculture, digitalisation and innovation, education and tourism.
The Kazakh Foreign Minister noted that Croatia is a long-standing and close partner of Kazakhstan in the Balkans and the European Union. Croatia ranks third among Kazakhstan’s trade partners in South-Eastern Europe. Trade turnover at the end of 2023 reached $432 million.
