Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for Central Asia and the Caucasus Masaki Ishikawa held political consultations in Tokyo.
The diplomats reviewed the issues of holding the first summit of the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue. The interlocutors also paid attention to the declaration of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust”. The sides discussed current projects and aspects of their implementation, noted the positive experience of cooperation in the oil and gas and gas chemical industries, in the spheres of electric power and transportation, emphasized the possibilities of developing cooperation in the fields of digital systems and information technologies. In addition, Gurbanov and Ishikawa discussed issues related to Turkmenistan’s participation in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka and holding the National Day of the Republic on April 14, 2025.
