The Armenian government supported the initiative on accession to the EU
The Armenian Cabinet of Ministers has supported the initiative to start the republic’s accession to the European Union (EU). The Armenian government’s decision was reported by RIA Novosti.
‘To approve the proposal of the Government of the Republic of Armenia on the draft law ‘On the beginning of the process of accession of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union’,’ the Cabinet resolution presented by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan reads.
It is noted that the government’s proposal will be handed over to the staff of the National Assembly of Armenia.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Baku is trying to provoke Yerevan into aggression. This, he said, would allow Azerbaijan to form a ‘justification’ for a new escalation in the region.
