Ankara Crisis and Politics Research Center (ANKASAM) Energy Chief Advisor Dr. Cenk Pala commented on Turkey’s recent gas supply agreements for Anadolu Agency. In his assessment on the matter, Pala said, ‘Turkey is achieving its goal, which we have been talking about for the last 26-27 years, of making Turkey a corridor between East and West for oil and natural gas, especially Azerbaijan, and from there to a trade center. What has been signed is actually the preliminary stage of this. It is a great work. BOTAŞ is doing pleasant things. It paves the way for trade. It maintains the existence of this entity that we call the Southern Gas Corridor.’
