Born in 1949 in Turkey, Ambassador Nurhan graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law. Before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nurhan worked as a lawyer and served as the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Nakhchivan, Bregenz and Melbourne. He was later appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Togo and Benin and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Turkey to Afghanistan at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. In addition to his diplomatic career, Nurhan is a columnist, radio programmer and speaker, and university lecturer with an honorary doctorate. His main area of interest is globalization. Contributing to ANKASAM's work as Chief Advisor to the President, the Retired Ambassador is married and has two children.
