The European Union can finance Ukraine without Hungary’s consent.
This was reported by APA on the basis of German government spokesman Christian Wagner.
“You know that we are once again expanding our bilateral aid and plan to provide military support worth eight billion euros next year. The EU will also continue to support Ukraine in any case,” he said.
According to the German Cabinet spokesman, the Federal Republic of Germany will endeavour to provide financial support to Ukraine next year as part of the so-called EU-26 group, i.e. without Hungary. Wagner recognised that further consultations in Brussels are needed for this.
