Hekmat Hajiyev, advisor to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, met with senior Iranian officials during his visit to Tehran. The talks were aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and discussing regional cooperation issues. During the meetings, cooperation opportunities in areas such as trade, transportation, energy and security were discussed.During his meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials, Hajiyev emphasized the historical and cultural ties between the two countries, as well as the development of economic and political cooperation. They also highlighted the need for joint efforts on regional stability and security issues. Iran and Azerbaijan have recently been working on important projects, especially in the fields of transportation and energy. The agreements signed between the two countries contribute to the implementation of projects such as the North-South International Transportation Corridor. These meetings are expected to further advance the existing cooperation. Hajiyev’s visit is considered an important step in deepening relations between Iran and Azerbaijan. The two countries’ common position on regional and international issues is of great importance for both regional stability and economic cooperation.
