EU and Ukraine sign agreement on security guarantees

The EU and Ukraine have signed an agreement on security guarantees.

According to Ukrainian media reports, the agreement was signed by the EU and Ukraine.

It is reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the document together with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel.

Security agreements were also signed with Estonia and Lithuania. The document was signed by the presidents of Ukraine and Lithuania, Volodymyr Zelensky and Gitanas Nauseda, and Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas.

Earlier today, European Council President Charles Michel said in a statement ahead of the EU summit that the security agreement would guarantee long-term support for Ukraine.

“Michel said: “This is very important because we are sending the message that we intend to support Ukraine for as long as necessary.

We note that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is on a visit to Brussels, where he will sign three bilateral security agreements.

As of today, Ukraine has signed security guarantee agreements with 16 European countries and the United States.
