AfD co-chairman Chrupalla assumes Germany’s withdrawal from NATO
The North Atlantic Alliance should respect the interests of all European states, including Russia. This was stated by Tino Chrupalla, co-chairman of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, in an interview with the Welt newspaper.
He explained that Europe is forced to imlement U.S. interests, which the AfD rejects. Chrupalla also stressed that the defense community should “accept and respect the interests of all European countries, including Russia”.
“If NATO cannot ensure that, Germany must consider to what extent this alliance is still useful for us,” he pointed out.
Earlier, Chrupalla urged the German government to recognize that Russia had already won a military victory in the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, the German authorities need to recognize the reality in order to put an end to the ongoing fighting. He also condemned the intention of some politicians to continue heating up the Ukrainian conflict by supplying weapons to Kiev.
