Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the partnership between the two countries and the post-conflict situation in the region.
The two ministers also discussed the current situation in the Middle East, particularly in Syria, as well as other regional and international security issues.
During the phone talk, the latest developments in Syria were discussed in detail. Bayramov reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s support for Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, expressing hope that the ongoing crisis would soon be resolved in a way that reflects the interests and will of the Syrian people.
The conversation also included an exchange of views on other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
