The International Parliamentary Conference “Parliamentarism: Traditions and Prospects,” hosted by Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament), has begun its visit to the Karabakh region.
The flight carrying delegates landed at Fuzuli International Airport, marking the start of their tour.
The visit commenced with a comprehensive briefing at Fuzuli International Airport, where parliamentarians were given a detailed overview of the airport’s demining efforts and the rapid progress made in restoring the area. The delegates were informed about the extensive work undertaken to clear the airport’s territory of mines and to develop the necessary infrastructure for its reopening.
Following their time at the airport, the visitors will explore the town of Fuzuli, where they will witness firsthand the devastation caused during the 30 years of Armenian occupation. They will also learn about the ongoing reconstruction and development efforts spearheaded by Azerbaijan since the district’s liberation.
