The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan organised a panel session on green energy and innovations, as well as investment opportunities of Kazakhstan within the framework of the SOR29 Energy Day held in Baku. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
Vice Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Sungat Yesimkhanov opened the discussion on the development of green energy in the country, including increasing the share of renewable energy sources, development of nuclear and hydrogen energy, as well as measures to reduce methane emissions. The government’s steps to create conditions for attracting ‘green finance’ were also discussed. The session was attended by representatives of Masdar, EBRD and Asian Development Bank.
In addition, Kazakhstan joined the Hydrogen Breakthrough Agenda.
‘Which will contribute to the development of hydrogen energy in the country, taking into account the Concept of hydrogen energy development adopted in this year and plans to implement a joint hydrogen project in the west of Kazakhstan with the German company Svevind’, – explained the essence of the decision in the press service of the department.
The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan also participated in sessions organised by Azerbaijan and international organisations, where innovations and attraction of investments in the green energy sector were discussed.
