The BRICS and SCO organisations are not taking concrete steps.
As Report reports with reference to BelTA, this was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the II International Conference on Eurasian Security in Minsk.
According to him, the world has formed a demand to move away from the unipolar world order. It was responded to by the emergence of the regional SCO and global BRICS as platforms to unite like-minded people.
‘Today we pin too much hope on regional and global organisations, for example, the SCO and BRICS. This was evident despite the successful holding of BRICS in Kazan. Unfortunately, it was evident that we are ‘droning on’, in popular parlance, rather than taking concrete steps to develop this global organisation – the BRICS. And people want an alternative,’ he said, noting that it is necessary to take real steps.
