The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) plans to launch two new projects in partnership with Kyrgyzstan, a KOICA source told Trend.
One project will focus on establishing a post-harvest inspection system to strengthen the value chain of agricultural products.
‘The Korean government is actively implementing projects aimed at improving agricultural productivity and developing Kyrgyzstan’s regions, being one of the key partners in this sector,’ the source said.
The second project will focus on improving public administration in Kyrgyzstan, supporting digital transformation and national informatisation.
‘Korea supports digitalisation in Kyrgyzstan and both countries are discussing the results of the projects at a high level, which builds trust between them,’ the agency added.
In addition to ongoing and new initiatives in agriculture and public administration, KOICA intends to explore environmental and energy projects in response to Kyrgyzstan’s growing needs.
