Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to hold meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and UN Secretary General António Guterres on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan.
As Report reports with reference to TASS, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
He said that the cycle of talks will open on 22 October with a meeting with New Development Bank President Dilma Rousseff, followed by a meeting with Modi and then with South African President Cyril Ramaposa. Talks are also planned with Xi Jinping as well as Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
‘There are several working meetings on the second day too. After the meeting of the narrow and extended format there will be a conversation of our president with President of the Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, a conversation with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan is planned, then the president will meet with Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali,’ Ushakov said.
