Georgia may lose all the EU financial aid if the country’s authorities do not change course and do not start getting closer to the community again.
As Report reports with reference to TASS, EU Ambassador to Georgia Pavel Gerchinsky told journalists.
‘Georgia has already lost 121 million euros of aid and this concerns only the current aid programmes. In case the trajectory of the government does not change, unfortunately, Georgia will lose more and more. If Georgians at the elections decide not to continue the path to the EU, Georgia will lose all financial aid,’ Gerchinsky said.
The EU embassy in Georgia earlier published information according to which Georgian authorities will not receive more than 121 million euros in financial aid from the European Union due to ‘democracy rollback’.
