Iranian non-oil exports to Uzbekistan increased by 14% in value terms and 13.6% in weight terms over six months of the current Iranian year (from 20 March to 21 September 2024) compared to the same period last year (from 21 March to 22 September 2023).
According to Trend, citing data from Iran’s Customs Administration, the volume of exports to Uzbekistan during this period amounted to 272,000 tonnes worth about $183 million. Last year, 239,000 tonnes of products worth $160 million were exported during the same period.
Iran’s main export items to Uzbekistan included milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, various types of pipes, glass containers, agricultural equipment and other goods.
It should be noted that, according to Iran’s Customs Administration, the country exported 70 million tonnes of non-oil products worth $25.8 billion in the first six months of this year, up 6.5% in value and 3.5% in weight compared to the same period last year.
