At the summit of heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) held at the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov called on other heads of state to expand and deepen cooperation in the field of energy security. This was announced by the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Zhaparov emphasised that solving problems related to energy security is of great importance and urged his colleagues to pay more attention and efforts to projects aimed at the development of renewable energy sources.

The President also emphasised the need to introduce modern digital technologies, which, in his opinion, will be an important step in the development of the energy sector. He noted that progress in this area will help to increase the efficiency and reliability of energy systems.

Zhaparov also suggested paying close attention to the agro-industrial complex. According to him, the developed agro-industrial base of the CIS countries helps to provide the necessary products and reduce dependence on imports.
