In the first three quarters of 2024, the German authorities approved the shipment of arms and military goods worth about 7.1 billion euros to Ukraine.
This is stated in the report on the export of military products for the first three quarters of 2024, distributed by the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection of the Federal Republic of Germany.
‘According to preliminary data, in the first three quarters of 2024, final export permits were issued for defense goods worth about 11 billion euros, of which about 7.2 billion euros for weapons and about 3.8 billion euros for defense products. The main recipient country is Ukraine, where arms exports worth around EUR 7.1 billion have been approved.’
For the same period in 2023, this figure was about EUR 3.3 billion, the report said. Overall, in the first 9 months of 2024, Germany almost reached the level of arms exports of the entire previous year (around EUR 12.2 billion).
