Turkmenistan and Bulgaria have emphasised the priority of further development of trade and economic partnership.

As Trend reported on Thursday with reference to the Turkmen Embassy in Russia, this was announced after Turkmen Ambassador Esen Aydogdiyev, resident in Moscow, presented his letter of credence to Bulgarian President Rumen Radev.

The Bulgarian President congratulated Aydogdiyev on his appointment and expressed confidence that friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Bulgaria will develop in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and mutually beneficial partnership.

The meeting focused on political and diplomatic dialogue and its role in strengthening bilateral relations both within the framework of international organizations and on a bilateral basis. The prospects for expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation were also discussed.

During the meeting, the parties also noted the important role of the Turkmen-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
