Candidates for European Commission seats will be announced next week.
According to the Report, a report to this effect was published by Politico, citing sources.
Initially, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen had planned to announce the list of appointees on 11 September and to discuss the candidates with the European Parliament (EP) groups. Only then would she make the names public.
It was then decided to postpone the meeting until next week, when MEPs will meet in Strasbourg.
It should be noted that the President of the European Commission had previously called on the leaders of the EU member states to notify him by 30 August of their nominations for representatives in the new composition of the European Commission, which will take office in November. Each EU Member State has one Commissioner.
