Trade volume between Uzbekistan and the European Union increased by 11 per cent

In 2023, the volume of trade between Uzbekistan and the European Union increased by 11% to 5.13 billion euros. This was announced by the EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan Charlotte Adrian at an event dedicated to diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries, organised by the EU delegation and the European-Uzbek Association for Economic Cooperation EUROUZ, Trend reported.

In 2023, exports from the EU to Uzbekistan totalled 4.35 billion euros, while imports from Uzbekistan to the EU amounted to 780 million euros.

The Ambassador also recalled that in 2022, EU exports to Uzbekistan increased by 63.9% to € 3.77 billion, and imports from Uzbekistan to the EU reached € 845 million (an increase of 77.1%), and the total increase in trade turnover that year exceeded 70%.
