The Central Bank of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Uzbekistan Konstantin Obolensky, Trend reports.
According to the information received, the management of the Central Bank expressed the importance of the partnership with the Swiss National Bank, which began in 2018, to improve the analytical capabilities and forecasts of the Central Bank, as well as to ensure financial sustainability.
Konstantin Obolensky discussed the reforms in the banking and financial sector of Uzbekistan and appreciated the role of the Central Bank in this process. Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Central Bank of Uzbekistan and the Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO).
It was noted that this document is aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations, in particular in the areas of monetary policy, ensuring financial stability, financial accessibility, development of payment systems and human resource management within the framework of the “Programme for Capacity Building of Central Banks”.https://www.trend.az/casia/uzbekistan/3880704.html
