Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov met with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan Thilo Klinner, Trend reports.
According to the information, during the meeting, cooperation in the field of agriculture and future plans of the German Organisation for International Cooperation (GIZ) in this area were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the Eco-Aral project, which aims to promote environmentally sustainable development of the Aral Sea region.
An additional agreement to the contract on the implementation of the Eco-Aral project was signed at the meeting, extending the implementation period of the project until the end of 2025. The aim of the GIZ project is to improve regional planning and improve the living conditions of local residents in the Aral Sea region through the development of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA).
