Germany has agreed to supply arms to Saudi Arabia until the end of 2023 for the first time since October 2018.
This information was confirmed to journalists by Steffen Hebestreit, the official representative of the Council of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Report reported, citing foreign media.
Previously, such data had been disseminated by Der Spiegel magazine. According to Hebestreit, the FRG specifically authorised the delivery of 150 IRIS-T missiles manufactured by Diehl Defence.
“I can confirm this information,” said Hebestreit. Hebestreit added that the missiles “launched from aircraft at airborne targets” would be delivered to Riyadh.
