Supporters of the opposition coalition “Serbia Against Violence” have ended their rally in front of the Belgrade Police Headquarters. The organisers of the protest announced that it would resume on Tuesday at 18:00 local time, TASS correspondent reported from the scene.
Addressing the crowd, MP Miroslav Aleksic, a representative of Serbia Against Violence, said through a megaphone that the rally would continue on Tuesday in front of the Republican Election Commission.
The rally in front of the capital’s police headquarters began after MP Srdjan Milivojevic asked about the fate of opposition supporters detained during the previous day’s events in front of the Belgrade administration. The organisers of the protest said they planned to send a request to the Interior Ministry for the release of the detainees.
