President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al- held official talks to discuss the expansion of partnership between the two countries in various fields. The heads of state emphasised the importance of the development of green energy and expressed readiness for cooperation in this area.
The parties also plan to cooperate in the fields of agriculture, infrastructure, industry, health, tourism, education, banking and finance.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the initiative to build the Trans-Afghan railway, and the Emir of Qatar expressed his full support in this matter. The two sides also discussed the development of political dialogue and strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani also touched upon the possibilities of cooperation in the field of education, including student and teacher exchange programmes, as well as the development of tourism routes and exchange of experience in this field.
