Estonia and the United States have signed a bilateral military cooperation plan covering the period 2024-2028.

The report quoted Tuuli Duneton, deputy head of defence policy at the Ministry of Defence, who signed on behalf of Estonia, as saying: “Confirming our strong alliance relations, we have updated the defence cooperation agreement, which focuses on the US military presence in Estonia, contribution to the development of the Estonian division, cooperation in cyber defence and joint procurement.”

The plan also envisages cooperation in the conduct of exercises, the development of the infrastructure necessary to receive allied troops, and in a number of other areas.

The first defence cooperation agreement between Tallinn and Washington was signed in 2019.
