Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have agreed on more than 90 per cent of the state border line.
This was announced by the heads of the State National Security Committees (SNSC) of both countries, Kamchybek Tashiev and Saimumin Yatimov, after a bilateral meeting in Batken (Kyrgyzstan), APA reported.
“We will soon have several plots of land on which we will complete work. Which sections are these? Starting from Kairagach to Kulundu, Maksat, Arki, Arki-1, Arki-2, Zhany-Zher and Zhyidelik. The working group has fully completed the harmonisation. In addition, we have agreed on Kara-Bak, Lyakkon and the junction of three states (currently Uzbekistan). Thus, we have almost completed the work in the disputed areas, where there are currently question marks. Only a few meetings are left for the completion of work on the entire state border,” he said.
